Gentle cleaning products are key, such as OxiClean, Ivory Soap, or similar products.

• Do not use bleach
• Remove metal from belt to prevent rust
• Air dry completely

DRY CLEAN ONLY
Placing wool pieces in a washing machine can cause permanent damage.

SPECIAL CARE
A tailored approach will help preserve these specialty pieces.

• Gently comb sporran, and straighten hairs with hot steam. Do not allow it to soak or be submerged in water.
• Do not use shoe polish on shoes
REPAIRS & REPLACEMENT
For loose or missing buttons, damaged pieces, resizing, and other repairs, visit the Uniform room during designated hours, or drop your item in the basket in the band room. Please remember to attach your name and reason for dropoff to your pieces. Please also ensure your handwriting is legible...some of our team wears glasses; help us help you. Contact the Uniform Chair for assistance: debi.leeper@thekilties.com
REMEMBER...
Each uniform costs $3,000+. Please treat this uniform with care. When you are not wearing your uniform, it should be on a hanger in a climate-controlled environment. Wadding your uniform up and throwing it on the ground or in the car causes damage, and will ultimately create another chore for you...ironing! Please wear these uniforms with pride. Care for them like a family heirloom.
